About our Wines
Local, ethical, vegan, award-winning
We aim to produce award-winning quality still white wines each year, supplemented by a sparkling blend when conditions favour.
We want to celebrate Bedfordshire through the vineyard’s wines, and our blends take their names from people or places associated with the county.
The wines are produced by the excellent team at Halfpenny Green Winery near Stourbridge.
Sales of the wine support the project’s work and saving this historic vineyard for the community.

This vintage of only 700 bottles was the total output for the vineyard in 2024. It is a blend of Reichensteiner, Müller-Thurgau and Bacchus grapes that were mostly planted in 1986. The aged vines add to the complexity of the wine produced and like its namesake John Bunyan does not conform to type as each vintage is different. Light and enticing, with delicate floral aromas, honey and zesty citrus followed by crisp apple. Best enjoyed with food, we suggest cheese, seafood, creamy pasta or cured meats.

This vintage had a tiny production of only 950 bottles. It is a blend of Reichensteiner and Müller Thurgau grapes from vines that were first planted in 1986. The age of the vines adds to the complexity of the wine that we produce and as the name suggests each vintage is different and like John Bunyan does not conform to type.
Light and enticing, with pleasant aromas of pear and zesty citrus, followed by baked apple. Delightfully fresh, mineral, smooth and easy going. Can be enjoyed as an aperitif or as a great accompaniment to any meal.

Made using traditional, bottle-fermented method. A very small batch of just 620 bottles, spending ~ 3 years maturing on lees. Each grape variety was whole bunch pressed and vinified separately before blending. Amazingly confected on the nose with a distinct and defined fennel aroma. The start of the palate is bright with a mix of citrus fruits. A pear and peach influence give a nice balance between fruit and acidity, a good depth of flavour with cream and apple at the back refreshing the long finish. Gentle fine bubbles.
Awarded a Bronze medal in the 2025 Decanter wine awards.
"The wines were super and we all enjoyed them and would recommend them. We look forward to further visits."
